Exciting New Partnership

We are thrilled to announce a transformative collaboration between the Modesto Artists Movement (MAM) and the Downtown Streets Team (DST), an award-winning organization that aims to “restore dignity, inspire hope, and provide a pathway to recover from homelessness.” This partnership aims to foster community unity through the arts, making high-quality art and entertainment accessible to everyone in Modesto.
Through this partnership, MAM will donate up to 10% of its event tickets to DST members, both current and alumni. This means that individuals dedicated to rebuilding their lives will now have opportunities to experience and participate in diverse artistic events, including poetry, hip hop, comedy, film, and educational offerings.
“We believe in the transformative power of the arts and its ability to inspire cultural unity,” said Sam Pierstorff, Executive Director of MAM. “By partnering with DST, we are not only supporting individuals working to rebuild their lives but also enriching our community by making the arts accessible to everyone.”
The Downtown Streets Team, which is dedicated to empowering unhoused individuals through work experience and community involvement, will now have enhanced access to MAM’s diverse events and programs. “At the core of DST, we build community,” shared Meggan Clifford, Director of Downtown Streets Team. “In partnering with MAM, we are able to deepen what that means and elevate our Team’s experiences.”
By giving DST members access to MAM's events and programs, we aim to create a more inclusive and vibrant cultural environment in Modesto.
This collaboration perfectly aligns with MAM's mission to elevate and amplify artists while building a strong, unified community through the arts. We believe that by working together, we can continue to make a positive impact and foster a sense of belonging for all residents of Modesto.
