Artist Grant Program

The Modesto Artists Movement is thrilled to announce the launch of our grant program designed to support and empower local artists in their creative endeavors. This program aims to provide financial assistance to artists for various projects, shows, and events that enrich our vibrant arts community in Modesto.

About the Grant Program

We recognize the incredible talent and passion of our local artists and understand the importance of financial support in bringing creative visions to life. Our grant program will offer individual grants in the amounts of $250, and $500. These funds can be used for a variety of purposes, including:

• Creating new art projects

• Organizing and hosting shows or events that benefit other artists

• Collaborations and community art initiatives

Grant Amounts

• $250 Grant: Ideal for smaller projects or to kickstart a creative idea.

• $500 Grant: Designed for projects or events that have a broad impact on the arts community.

The MAM Grant Subcommittee will review all applications and base decisions on the following criteria:

Artist's Connection to Modesto
Potential Impact for Modesto
Clarity of the Project (Is there a clear plan, result, and pathway for success?)
Other details pertinent to the specific application

We have a limited number of grants to offer each quarter.  
Community Impact Grant = $500
Individual Artist Grant = $250

You are able to re-apply if you have applied for a MAM Grant in the past.  Grant submissions must be received within the timeframe announced on our website and Socials.  We will respond within 30-60 days via email to inform you of your grant submission result.  

Grant Cycle: Spring 2025

The Spring 2025 Grant Cycle will be open from April 1 through April 30
