Write Night is a free, community creative writing class designed to inspire, and uplift. Our mission is simple: to write, share, reflect, and connect in a safe, non-judgmental environment.

Hosted by Modesto Junior College English Professor and former Modesto Poet Laureate, Sam Pierstorff with support from esteemed guest workshop leaders like bestselling author and UC Merced Writing Faculty Paula DeBoard (Bookish) and Mike Ruehle, former Great Valley Academy Principal and current Assessment and Accountability Coordinator at the Stanislaus County Office of Education, Write Night offers high-quality instruction and challenging writing prompts.
