Modesto Porchfest is arguably one of the most exciting and most anticipated events of the year! Every May, the College and La Loma area neighborhoods come alive as thousands of families, friends, and neighbors gather to celebrate community, music, and togetherness.
More than 80+ bands rock out on over 100 porches, each turning into a mini concert venue, all thanks to the incredible generosity of our talented local musicians and incredibly welcoming homeowners.
Since its inception in 2017 by the visionary organizers Kate Trompetter, Tricia Rosenow, and Ruhi Sheikh, Modesto Porchfest has blossomed into one of the most eagerly anticipated events of the year. People from all walks of life descend upon our beautiful, tree-lined streets, walking, biking, skateboarding, and pushing strollers with their families, soaking in the festive atmosphere.
From bluegrass to rock and roll, drum circles to DJs, jazz to fiddle, and indie bands to mariachi, there’s a rhythm for every soul. Our lineup includes youth bands, cover bands, and even an interactive mural wall for those who want to express their artistic side!
But Porchfest is more than just a day of music. It's a celebration of love, positive energy, and the vibrant spirit of Modesto. It’s a day that showcases the very best our town has to offer and reminds us all of the incredible potential within our community.
