MAM and Off The Air: A Beautiful Marriage

Off The Air is a live indie music series that was started in 2005 by Greg Edwards to bring audiences together to experience indie music in downtown Modesto. Shows are general admission, standing-room-only, all-ages, welcoming, and safe.

Off The Air makes Modesto cooler, nicer, better-sounding, more fun, and more lovable for music fans. We connect artists and audiences through live music in memorable and intimate settings. To cultivate a healthy art scene and a strong creative community is our goal. Kindness paired with radical hospitality is our mode. Quality is our standard.

Off The Air Shows

• Energize arts and entertainment communities, sparking original thinking, community connection, joy, and culture.

• Attract and help our city retain creatives who employ their novel way of approaching tactical issues in Modesto’s arts, workforce, and leadership.

• Create space where music and human connection cut through the digital noise, providing balance and health in our social lives and adhering to analog, tactile experiences that disarm and disable superficial social habits formed in the modern era.

Modesto Artists Movement (MAM), Downtown Modesto Partnership (DoMo Partnership), Shire Arts Collective, Modesto DID, DoubleTree Hotel, and Greens on Tenth believe that creating robust cultural amenities specifically geared toward Off The Air’s demographic is part of the solution to creating a more vibrant, cultural, artistic, and entertaining life in Modesto.
