Hip Hop Movements: stockton Sp Collective recap

Just over a month ago, I (Joe, Modesto Artist Movements Hip Hop Ambassador) was invited to join fellow SP-404 enthusiasts for a live set at the Friday Night Market in Stockton. Now, I have never been to the Friday Night Market, but from experience with our own night market (Domo First Friday) I imagined it would be an event I couldn’t miss out on, plus, it’s always tough for me to say no to an event hosted by my brother, Orlando “Zeps” Molina of “Rhymosaurs”. Yosemite Street Music provided the sound and they did not disappoint. Crisp and clean with the right amount of low end. The vibes were all positive! The community support was felt. The venue also featured an art installation, as captured in the video by our friend Matt Hall from “Tha Nine Productions.” Stockton showed up, Modesto was in full force, and Crush Congregation Beat Battle Champ “Oh Ricky” traveled from Sacramento to debut some new music. Big respect to all the performers who made it such a memorable night. With some rejuvenated energy and equal motivation, my recon has left me brimming with ideas. Art installations at the Beat Battle? Some live beat sets at Domo? We will soon see.

Thank you Orlando for inviting me out.
